Her effects are very potent when she starts to show up in your life! If you do not already have a good mala to work with, obtaining one would benefit your practice if you choose to pursue Kali in that way. Here are some of the very basics of her form.

From  “ Kinsley, David R. (1988). Hindu Goddesses: Visions of the Divine Feminine in the Hindu Religious Tradition. University of California Press. pp. 86–90. ISBN 978-8120803947”

“Interpretations of the symbolic meanings of Kali's appearance vary depending on Tantric or devotional approach, and on whether one views her image in a symbolic, allegorical or mystical fashion.”

From  “Jagadiswarananda, Swami (1953). Devi Mahatmyam. Ramakrishna Math”

“Out of the surface of her (Durga's) forehead, fierce with frown, issued suddenly Kali of terrible countenance, armed with a sword and noose. Bearing the strange khatvanga (skull-topped staff), decorated with a garland of skulls, clad in a tiger's skin, very appalling owing to her emaciated flesh, with gaping mouth, fearful with her tongue lolling out, having deep reddish eyes, filling the regions of the sky with her roars, falling upon impetuously and slaughtering the great asuras in that army, she devoured those hordes of the foes of the devas and caught the blood of Raktabīja before it could fall to the ground, stopping him from creating more duplicates.”

Care Instructions:

These candles have a cotton wick that needs to be trimmed before the first burn and after that to avoid a huge flame and any soot. Trim down to ¼ an inch before each burn. The easiest way to do this is right after a burn when the wick is still pliable and the wax is soft. 7-Day Prayer Candle management is crucial for a clean and thorough burndown. Allow the first burn to create a healthy wax pool before extinguishing.

All scents are certified clean and safe to burn around pets and humans. Please burn on a heat-safe surface and never leave candles unattended.
